The yester gospel and yester Church. This may sound like nostalgia but those of us that lived under it know that something is missing in today's Church.
Today's Church has Hebrew and Greek scholars but the signs and wonders that accompanied the unlearned preachers are absent. Churches have become mega but the love that radiated through the few in our times is gone. Churches were small but loving, caring and godly. Today's Churches are big in numbers but devoid of love,care and unhinged on how those being led live.
God,give us the Church of yester years. God give us the gospel of the yester years.
We yearn for the ancient Church.

Righteousness is not right living but right standing in the sight of God.
Righteousness is the eternal established and accepted order of things.
Righteousness is the gift of God to people in Christ. What separates the mature from the young ones in the faith is this very truth;love and deep concern for righteousness. Blessed are they that hunger and thirsty for righteousness for they shall be filled.

Suffering according to God's will is an instrument of righteousness. We that bear the name,we upon whom the Spirit of God and glory rests must learn how to bear it. Let suffering accomplish that which it is sent for in our lives.
Suffering decapitates the soul from the rebellion to lead. Remember that the fall was a strategy by the enemy to set up a system that opposes the ways of God.
God's way was man should function from the spirit,soul and body. With the spirit,man would hear God and obey. The temptation in the garden was for the soul(man's reason -fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil) to lead. It was not God's original purpose that man would decide on their own what was good and evil. Man's good should have been from God his Father and maker.
Suffering intends to reverse the order to what God intended originally.

The source of a thing determines its strength, longevity and sustainability. Faith has what are called properties and integrity.
Faith is not faith because it brings things but because it meets God's acceptance. Faith is faith because it changes the recipient from wickedness to righteousness. Faith being of God cannot be weakened by circumstances and situations rather it's strengthened. Faith suffers long because it sees the distant future in the now. Faith is one; the one Abraham had isn't different from the one we have now if its from God. The degrees or measure may be different but intrinsically,its inherently one (same),Rom 4.

The Man we call Jesus is the Word that was with God. Jesus Christ is the Word of God in flesh.
He had to become flesh so as to destroy the devil to whom man had become a slave . Man is the only creature with whom God shared Himself. Therefore, when man got lost;died or sinned,God lost part of himself.Nothing in creation could save the creator. It had to take the creator to save the image and likeness of God. In Jesus,God became man;one with us so that we could become one with God. Now that we have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ,let us love (desire deeply,yearn) the Word so that we can grow to the stature of Christ.
Let the Word become our clothing,glory and light.
Be blessed dear family in Christ.

The cross was before the interrogation. He was interrogated to be accorded an opportunity to either deny or obey God. Having surrendered to God during the interrogations (notice how many people interrogated him),he was led to the cross.Remember the pre-warned in Peter succumbed during interrogation. At the cross,the whole body,will, emotions and feelings were crucified.
The cross that Jesus says we carry daily is not one we put in the neck (as Roman Catholics do) nor hang in vehicles but one of obedience.
One reformer prayed and wrote, "oh God,let me die right, rather than living wrong. Keep me from ever hardening down to the state of being another average Christian."
Jacob's cross was himself. Job's cross was the devil and Daniel's was the world system of Babylon.All by the grace of God overcame. Your and my cross will often come from our day to day life and most from what we love. Will we obey (carry the cross) or do as we want (Jacob)? Will we do as the devil wants (Job) or as the world (Daniel) wants?
This is the darkness,the crucifixion and resurrection shall be the resurrection or light. There's no resurrection without the crucifixion (painful obedience). He the Bible says was raised by the glory of the Father; the Father was so pleased that He could not allow the body that so obeyed Him to decay. This is the cross we ought to carry; standing true to the family values espoused by the heavenly Father.

The Blessings of God are but founded on Christ. Gen 27 is a good narration in which this is typified; Isaac and his two children,Esau and Jacob whose mother was Rebecca. Isaac the father wanted to bless the natural first born before death. Esau despite being the first born,he didn't esteem his position;first born. Esau has come to mean red which is a symbol of sin. It is sin to despise the work of Christ in positioning us in Christ. This we must highly esteem.
Jacob despite being the second born was obedient to the voice of the mother. A woman especially a true mother is a type of the Church that Jesus Christ is building in the earth. Listening and being obedient to what the Church that Christ is building is the key to being effective and successive in the earth. Isaac only had one blessing and whoever got it,got ALL. Isaac is a type of God and God only has one blessing which is Christ. You are either in or out of Christ the blessing of God. In Christ then attracts the blessings with Him (Christ).
May our hearts know the blessedness of being in Christ. Christ is the Gate of all other (secondary) blessings. Its time to celebrate the mega blessing with which God has blessed us; Christ. In Him (Christ) us that were far have been brought near. Us that separate from God are now one with God. Joint heirs with Christ, heirs of God.
What a blessed people we have become in Christ.
