Today, 28th April, we proudly join the nation in honoring the life and legacy of Kenneth Kaunda, the founding father and a true hero of Zambia.

As SustainUs Zambia, we recognize not only his role in securing our independence, but also his enduring values of unity, humility, and responsibility principles that continue to guide our mission as young advocates for sustainable development.

Kenneth Kaunda’s vision went beyond freedom; it embraced human dignity, peaceful coexistence, and care for both people and the environment. His leadership reminds us that nation-building is a continuous journey one that calls for conscious action, resilience, and a commitment to future generations.

On this special day, we celebrate his legacy by renewing our dedication to building a Zambia that reflects his ideals: a nation grounded in peace, sustainability, and shared prosperity.

May his life continue to inspire us to lead with purpose and serve with integrity.

Happy Kenneth Kaunda Day.

Earth Day 2026: A Generation That Refuses to Look Away

Earth Day is more than a date on the calendar—it is a call to responsibility. At SustainUs Zambia, we recognize that the future of our environment is not distant; it is shaped by the choices we make today.

From the forests that sustain life to the soils that feed communities, our land is a shared inheritance. Yet, it faces growing pressure from deforestation, pollution, and climate change. This reality demands more than awareness—it demands action.

Young people across Zambia are rising, not waiting for change but becoming it. Through small, consistent efforts—planting trees, reducing waste, advocating for sustainable policies—we are proving that impact does not require perfection, only commitment.

This Earth Day, we reaffirm our duty: to protect, to restore, and to lead. Because the Earth does not need spectators—it needs stewards.

BORN FROM A PAPER: Why Small Steps Matter

Change does not always begin with grand action; it often starts with a simple idea born from a paper. Every environmental effort begins small, yet carries the power to grow.

In Zambia, young advocates face real challenges, but waiting for bigger problems before acting only delays solutions. Small steps—reducing plastic use, planting trees, raising awareness create lasting impact over time.

Environmental sustainability is not for a few; it is a shared responsibility. Progress is built through consistency, not perfection.

Hold on to your vision. Your ideas matter. Your actions count. Start where you are, with what you have, and keep moving forward.

Because every meaningful change begins with a single step
Born from a paper.
