🐷🌱 15 NEW REASONS TO CELEBRATE AT CALEB CENTER! 🎉💚

Our piggery project has just received a beautiful boost — Mama has delivered 15 piglets in her third litter! 🐖🐖🐖

For us, these are more than just piglets. They represent growth, sustainability and hope.

At Caleb Center for Children with Autism, our vision is to build income-generating projects that can progressively help us support education, therapy, feeding, vocational skills and care for children and young people with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Every healthy litter strengthens our dream of a Center that does not depend entirely on donations, but is also able to produce, grow and generate resources for its own mission. 🌱💪🏾

From one generation to another, our piggery is growing — and so is our determination to build a sustainable Caleb Center.

💙 KNOWLEDGE SHARED. CAPACITY STRENGTHENED. CHILDREN BETTER SUPPORTED. 🧠🤝🇿🇲🇧🇪

Eva, our visiting and experienced Occupational Therapist from Belgium through our partnership with TAPAS, is already turning her visit into meaningful impact at the Caleb Centre.

In this session, Eva is sharing practical knowledge with our staff on understanding epilepsy and how to safely and appropriately support learners who experience seizures alongside other developmental needs.

For us, this is what a strong partnership should achieve — not simply bringing expertise into the Centre, but transferring that knowledge to the people who work with our children every day. 🌍💡

When our teachers, therapists and caregivers are better equipped, our learners are safer, better understood and better supported. And the knowledge gained remains with our team long after the visit ends.

Today, Malumbo is showing us that with the right support, patience, and consistency, communication can truly flourish. During his speech therapy session, he confidently used the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) to identify and sequence the day's activities. 🗣️📸

This is more than a therapy session—it's a life-changing journey. PECS is helping Malumbo build communication skills, increase independence, and gain confidence as he expresses himself in meaningful ways. 🌱💙

🌱 Every visitor leaves a seed of hope. 💙

Today, our Skills Class had the privilege of spending time with Andrea, who accompanied his daughter, Eva, on her visit to Zambia. With a deep passion for gardening and a genuine heart for inclusion, Andrea shared inspiring thoughts on supporting children and young people with special needs.

He reminded us that, just like a garden, every child grows at their own pace. With patience, care, encouragement, and the right environment, every learner has the opportunity to flourish. 🌿

✨ When passionate people come together, lives change. 💙

Today was an incredible day at the Caleb Center for Children with Autism.

Our center was privileged to have Eva, our experienced Occupational Therapist from Belgium, working alongside our dedicated Speech Therapy interns, as well as 4th Year Special Education students from Nkrumah University. Together with our amazing Caleb Center team, they created a vibrant environment of learning, therapy, assessment, play and individualized support for our children.

Every interaction mattered.
Every activity built a skill.
Every smile reminded us why collaboration is so powerful.

This is what inclusive education looks like—professionals, students and volunteers learning from one another while giving children with autism the opportunity to reach their full potential.

To everyone who continues to believe in our mission, thank you for helping us build a future where every child is seen, valued and empowered.

🎉📚 When learning materials arrive... even the Executive Director can't stay serious! 😄💃

Our wonderful occupational therapist Eva gave us a tour of the amazing teaching and therapy materials she brought to the Caleb Centre, explaining how each one will help our children learn, communicate, and thrive. ❤️

Somewhere during the interview... I completely forgot I was supposed to be asking questions and ended up dancing! 😂💃 That's what happens when kindness meets purpose.

Yesterday, we had the great privilege of welcoming Eva, a highly experienced Occupational Therapist from Belgium, to the Caleb Centre for Children with Autism.

Eva joins us through the incredible partnership with TAPAS, and her visit marks another important step in strengthening the quality of therapy and support we provide to children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Over the coming days, Eva will work alongside our dedicated team, sharing years of professional experience, building local capacity, exchanging best practices, and helping us continue to raise the standard of inclusive care in Zambia.

This visit is a powerful reminder that when organisations across the world unite around a common purpose, lives are transformed.
