We are a youth-led organization committed to transforming communities through:

✅ Education – Promoting access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.

✅ Youth Empowerment – Equipping young people with knowledge, skills, and leadership opportunities to become agents of positive change.

✅ Participation in Decision-Making Processes – Amplifying youth voices and encouraging meaningful involvement in policies and decisions that affect their lives.

✅ Community Development – Working with communities to create sustainable solutions that improve livelihoods and social well-being.

At times, political corruption treats youths like matches used to start fires and later thrown away. But the young people of Zambia are not tools for destruction; they are seeds of a greater future.

A wise farmer protects the seed because he understands tomorrow’s harvest depends on it. In the same way, our nation must protect and empower its youths through education, skills development, innovation, and peace not through violence, manipulation, and empty political promises.

As Back to School Youth Initiative, we urge every young person to rise above corruption and choose purpose over temporary benefits. Zambia needs builders, thinkers, and visionary leaders.
The future of this great nation is in the hands of today’s youths. Let us protect it with wisdom and integrity.

Young people, your future is worth more than temporary benefits. Don’t allow anyone to use you as a tool of political violence in exchange for beer, chamba or a few coins.

Violence can destroy your future, your freedom and even your life. Real strength is shown through peace, discipline, dialogue and respect for one another despite political differences.

As campaigns begin, let us promote unity and responsible citizenship. Zambia needs peaceful and visionary young people who will build the nation, not destroy it.

Think before you act.
Refuse manipulation.
Speak out for peace.
Together, let’s build a peaceful and better Zambia. 🇿🇲

Pleased to be part of the CSO Coalition on School Health and Nutrition currently participating in the Budget Tracking Meeting on the School Health and School Feeding Programme under the 2025/2026 National Budget being held in Lusaka.

The meeting has brought together key stakeholders committed to strengthening the welfare and wellbeing of learners in schools, including the Ministry of Health Zambia , Ministry of Education , Presidential Delivery Unit, Ministry of Local Government, Healthy Learners , Alliance for Accountability Advocates Zambia (AAAZ), and other CSO coalition members.

The engagement is providing an important platform to track budget implementation, promote accountability, and ensure effective service delivery in school health and school feeding programmes for the benefit of learners across Zambia.

Together, we continue advocating for sustainable and inclusive interventions that support education, nutrition, health, and the future of our children.

As political campaigns begin this Saturday, 23 May 2026, we call upon all young people and citizens to reject political violence in all its forms.

Violence destroys communities, divides families and takes away the future of young people. Let us choose peace, unity, tolerance and issue-based campaigns. Zambia belongs to all of us.

The Back to School Youth Initiative believes that every young person has the power to promote peaceful coexistence and responsible leadership. Our voices must inspire hope, not hatred.
Say NO to violence.
Say YES to peace, dialogue and respect.
