🗳️ Candidate Withdrawals and Democracy
A strong democracy depends on citizens having a genuine choice at the ballot box. When candidates withdraw from elections, especially due to intimidation, violence, or unfair conditions, voters are left with fewer options and democracy is weakened.
Elections should be free, fair, peaceful, and inclusive, allowing all candidates to compete on an equal footing. Political differences should be resolved through dialogue and the ballot, not through pressure or fear.
As citizens, let us support a peaceful electoral environment where every candidate can participate freely and every voter can make an informed choice.
Democracy thrives on participation, competition, and respect for democratic rights.
