The outreach featured powerful poems, engaging role plays🥳 and a practical sanitary wear demonstration, creating an interactive and educational experience for learners.👏

By taking this awareness campaign to a neighbouring school, the Peer Educators ensured that more young people benefit from vital menstrual health and hygiene information.

📸 SEKELA SITE MARKS MENSTRUAL HEALTH HYGIENE DAY IN GRAND STYLE.

Today, Peer Educators from Sekela Site in Chingola district led a Community Upliftment Activity focused on Menstrual Health awareness, breaking stigma and promoting the importance of boys supporting girls during menstruation.😁

With presentations through poems, role play and demonstration on the sanitary pads, the event highlighted a number of things that left the peers feeling more informed.

Special gratitude🙏 goes to the school administration, particularly the Guidance Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher, Facilitator Interns, Peer Educators, and all peers whose support and participation made the activity impactful.

Together, we break the stigma and build supportive communities.

Guided by this principle, our Peer Educators continue to put their planning skills into action. On this day, Mentor Peer Educators from Chikola Site worked in groups to prepare for upcoming lesson deliveries and talk groups scheduled for a later date.

This activity not only equips them with the ability to plan ahead but also encourages them to research more on various topics while strengthening teamwork and collaboration among themselves.

CHIKOLA AND CHINGOLA MPEs JOB SHADOW.

What Does a Day in the Life of a Health Worker Really Look Like?

At Chawama Urban Clinic, this question came to life for Chikola and Chingola site Mentor Peer Educators, who had the unique opportunity to step into the world of healthcare and experience it firsthand.

For these Peer Educators, it was more than just a job shadowing experience it was an eye-opening journey into the realities of their dream careers. From observing daily routines to understanding the dedication behind patient care, they gained a deeper appreciation.

This experience also marked a powerful shift from being passive recipients of myths and misconceptions to becoming more informed, aware and inspired young individuals ready to make purposeful career choices.

A special note of gratitude to the management of Chawama Urban Clinic for continually opening their doors and creating such meaningful learning opportunities for our Peer Educators.
