The Lower Zambezi Catch and Release Initiative promotes responsible, catch-and-release fishing on the Zambezi River. By encouraging anglers to respect, record, and release the fish they catch, the LZCRI is engaging recreational fishermen to participate in fish conservation. Considering the welfare of every single fish that they catch (and release) minimises the impact of recreational fishing, whi

le recording and submitting catch data contributes towards informed management of recreational fishing in the area. Working with lodges operating in and around the Lower Zambezi National Park, the LZCRI aims to create a network of fishing guides and anglers to collect important baseline data for conservation management.
