“Wisdom Wears a Crown”
What a blessed morning we shared with our Legends! The theme for the day was “Wisdom Wears a Crown”— a reminder that true wisdom isn’t found in titles or age alone, but in walking with God. In the Word, a crown represents authority, honor, and identity given by the King of Kings. When wisdom wears a crown, it means our seniors carry the dignity and insight that comes from years of trusting, obeying, and leaning on the Lord. The crown of the wise is their riches (Proverbs 14:24). Our Legends wear their crowns well, not of gold, but of experience, prayer, and faith.
Gratitude to our speakers:
We thank Pst Matthew Peake for a powerful word of encouragement. He spoke to the subject of the orphan spirit, that deep feeling of abandonment, fear, and striving to earn love and approval. Biblically, an orphan spirit is the opposite of the Spirit of adoption we receive through Christ. Romans 8:15 reminds us “you received God’s Spirit when He adopted you as His own children.”Pastor Matthew called us back to our identity: we are not orphans, but sons and daughters, fully loved and provided for by our Heavenly Father.
Pastor Danny Jordaan encouraged our seniors on wisdom — reminding us that gray hair is a crown of glory when found in the way of righteousness Proverbs 16:31. Wisdom is choosing God’s way over the world’s way, and our Legends model that daily.
Sikelela touched every heart as he appreciated every mother in the room, reflecting on the term:“it takes a village to raise a child.” God designed us for community. Titus 2 calls older women to teach what is good, and that’s exactly what our mothers do — raising, guiding, and covering the next generation in prayer.
We also thank Unity Noble from CANSA for the wisdom talk and words of encouragement that stirred us to keep pressing on in faith.
A special thank you to South African Police Services Community Sector for sensitizing us on vulnerability, abuse, and the struggles many face in silence. Your presence reminded us that integrity and protection go hand in hand, and that our community must be a safe place for all.
To our senior mothers:
You carry an inheritance of integrity and love. Integrity, doing what is right even when no one is watching. Love, the patient, enduring kind that 1 Corinthians 13 describes. You’ve carried burdens quietly, prayed when no one knew, and stood firm when life shook. Proverbs 31 speaks of a woman of noble character whose strength and dignity are her clothing, and who opens her arms to the needy. You are that woman. Your burdens have become blessings for those who came after you.
To every Legend present: thank you for wearing your crown of wisdom with grace. West Bank is richer because of you.
WE LOVE YOU💙💙💙🌸🌸🌸
