The Mbekweni Community Sport Centre is a safe space providing oportunities for children and youth in Mbekweni community and surrounding areas to get involved in sport and develop valuable skills they need to succeed in life.

We donated 3boxes of Sanitary Pads, 46 rulers and 92 pencils. Asi Kamte

Last week when we dropped of Sanitary Pads at Mbekweni Primary we came across a boy who was in dire need of school uniform, and today we have fulfilled that NEED with the Human Nature Community Project Team Asi Ayanda Maseti Colozi

UPDATE!

Successful Engagement with Drakenstein Municipality MMC for Waste Management, Water and Electricity.

We had a productive meeting with Alderman Anre Koegelenberg, MMC for Waste Management and Water. His warm reception and the willingness of his office to engage with us were truly commendable.

Key Discussion Points:

1️⃣ Illegal Dumping Sites: Concerns about changes to temporary illegal dumping sites without consulting stakeholders.
2️⃣ Stakeholder Recognition: Positioning Keep Mbekweni Clean as a key stakeholder in Ward 9, working alongside the Ward Committee and Ward Councillor to promote a recycling-driven approach.
3️⃣ Waste Awareness Influencer Application: Addressing concerns regarding the selection process and proposed budget of the program we were selected for.

We sincerely appreciate this constructive dialogue and look forward to their delegation visiting Ward 9 to assess the state of illegal dumping firsthand.

A special thank you to Councillor Vuyo Bolani—whom we proudly call "The Mayor of Mbekweni"—for always standing by us in representation. Gratitude also to Raymond Qonde, Ward Committee Member for Waste Management, for his support.
