On behalf of the ACASA family, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and students of world renowned calligrapher Al-Khattaat Shaykh Hasan Çelebi. He was a true ambassador of the art who taught his students with love and respect.

May Allah bless his efforts and reward him for the hundreds of students who benefitted from his knowledge. We beseech Allah's forgiveness and mercy for his departed soul. May his grave be illuminated and spacious with the light of the Quran.

Ahar or Muqahhar paper is the preferred paper for traditional Arabic calligraphy for many centuries. Essentially, it is handmade or basic paper, which is coated with wheatstarch and egg white in multiple layers. This helps prevent ink from penetrative the paper, and helps calligraphers in fixing or editing the writing as needed.

To learn more, join us this Saturday. (Only 1 seat left). Alternatively, our next workshop will take place next week inshaAllah. For more info, please DM, or contact Faheem Rhoda Jackson on 0718698240
