This verse has brought such revelation to my life.
An understanding that for a second Jesus knew the path He's about to endure, what He is about to carry would change Destiny forever. For a second asking, as a human, "if it could pass Him by" yet knowing as King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords, the I AM WHO I AM, with everything inside of Him, it could not.
Matt 26: 39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
Jeremy Gibson shared this post. Thank you Sir.
BEFORE THE CROSS… THERE WAS A CUP
Everyone talks about the nails.
But before the nails…
there was a decision.
“Father… if it be possible, let this cup pass…”
This is where most people lose their assignment.
Not at the cross but at the cup.
The place where your will and His will collide.
The place where obedience costs you something.
The place where you can still walk away.
The cross was public.
The surrender was private.
Jesus didn’t die when they crucified Him,
He died when He said YES in the garden.
And many of you are asking for resurrection power but avoiding Gethsemane surrender.
You want the glory…
but not the crushing.
You want the promise…
but not the yielding.
There is no cross without a yes.
And there is no resurrection
without a cross"
Thank you Lord for not allowing the cup to pass You by.
