🌸 Misty Update for Our Amazing Supporters 🌸

We know you’ve all been wondering how our precious Misty is doing! She’s eating so well—three good meals a day! Lunchtime can be a little battle, but she gets halfway there—and that’s progress! Her tummy’s doing great, too—solid stools, just what we hoped for! And guess what? We’re getting those adorable little tail wags, which means she’s feeling so much better! Thank you all for your love and support—Misty is on her way!

🐾 A Special Thank You to CFAO Mobility Toyota Rivonia 🐾

This week we had the opportunity to once again visit the wonderful team at CFAO Mobility Toyota Rivonia, but this visit was particularly special as we were finally able to personally meet and thank Dealer Principal William Holland for the incredible support shown to Peke Haven.

We were warmly welcomed by Jurie du Toit, whose kindness and enthusiasm are a true reflection of the culture within this dealership. It was wonderful to put faces to names and personally express our gratitude for the assistance their team has provided.

The support we received from the Service and Parts Department helped ensure our rescue vehicle remained safe and roadworthy, allowing us to continue helping the dogs who depend on us every day. For a rescue organisation, reliable transport is essential, and their generosity has made a real difference.

Meeting William and the team reinforced what we already knew — that behind this dealership is a group of people who genuinely care about their community and are willing to go the extra mile to help others.

🌟 Today’s inspiration comes from Rosette, one of the most resilient supporters of Pekingese Haven. After all she’s been through, she still made her way from a hospital bed just to visit our misunderstood Smilo. Her strength reminds us that any obstacle can be faced with love and grace. We’re in awe, and we’re grateful. Thank you, Rosette! And Smilo sends his little smile to you all! 🐾

And the one that can make even Queen Misha reconsider her life choices! 😂

This morning, Princess Peaches reclaimed her royal throne (also known as her bed) with nothing more than a single glance. No barking. No drama. Just the eye. 😜👑

Meanwhile, the spectators sat watching the royal proceedings unfold, knowing full well that when Princess Peaches has made a decision, the matter is already settled. 🤣

Long live the Queen of Sass, the Duchess of Drama, and the undisputed ruler of the comfy beds…

👑🐾 IT’S ALL ABOUT PRINCESS PEACHES 🐾

After what can only be described as a royal dispute in the Kingdom of Pekingese Haven, Princess Peaches has officially reclaimed her throne… errr… bed! 🛏️😂

This morning, Queen Misha had boldly occupied the royal sleeping quarters, leaving Princess Peaches absolutely shocked and appalled by such behaviour. The nerve! The audacity! The betrayal! 😱👑

After careful observation, a few dramatic sighs, and some serious royal side-eye, Princess Peaches successfully staged a peaceful takeover and has now claimed her beloved bed back.

Queen Misha has reluctantly stepped aside, while the rest of the Peke Pack watched the royal proceedings unfold from a safe distance. 🐶👀

Order has been restored.�The kingdom is at peace.�The throne is occupied.�And Princess Peaches is once again ruling from her rightful place… while probably planning her next nap. 😴💖

Today we celebrate a truly special happy ending for our beautiful Azalea! 🌸🐾

A huge thank you to Lindie, Harold, Brian and Mario for their incredible commitment and dedication to giving Azalea the safe and loving home she deserves.

As many of our supporters know, Pekingese Haven has strict homing policies. These policies are in place for one reason only – the safety and wellbeing of our precious rescues. Finding the right home is never about convenience; it is about ensuring a lifetime of love and security.

When additional safety requirements were identified, this amazing family didn’t hesitate. They went the extra mile and invested in enclosing both sides of their property with palisade fencing to ensure Azalea and their other fur babies would be safe and secure. This was a significant expense, but they did it willingly because they understood what was needed to provide the safest possible environment.

That level of commitment speaks volumes and demonstrates exactly the kind of loving, responsible home we strive to find for our rescues.

Knowing that Azalea is going to a family willing to make such an investment in her safety gives us tremendous peace of mind. It is exactly the kind of dedication every rescue deserves.

Thank you, Lindie, Harold, Brian and Mario, for opening your hearts and your home to this precious little girl. We know she will be loved, cherished, protected and thoroughly spoiled.
