Grandads Army is a group of friends and social cyclists from East London, South Africa, who ride together regularly.

They are involved in several fundraising events for the Eyabantwana, For the Children Trust. In memory of Rob Burton, who was tragically killed while cycling, a group of friends and social cyclists, calling ourselves Grandads Army, will cycle through the Karoo from East London to Stellenbosch from 24th to 27th November to raise money for the Eyabantwana – For the Children Trust. The money raised

will be used exclusively for the care of burned children at the Frere and Cecilia Makiwane hospitals. Our focus is to provide funding for vitally needed specialized equipment to assist with the skin grafting of children with burns and to begin the process of funding the development of a ten bedded dedicated children’s burns unit at the Frere Hospital. Such a unit will allow burned children to be cared for in as “child friendly” environment as is possible. www.eyabantwana.co.za
