THE IN-BETWEEN
Part 2
On 13 August, I released a word called THE IN-BETWEEN.
I said that God has shown me in my dreams that there are many Christians who are in an in-between season right now. If you missed that word please look for the post on the WCDM page.
I promised to follow up with a post that looks at dream symbols that can indicate that you are in an in-between season - Aka waiting or transition season.
Take note - if you have a dream and you see yourself:
✅️ On a bridge - standing, walking or kneeling
✅️ In a parking lot - sitting in a stationary vehicle or it's just you and no vehicle
✅️ In a passage way/corridor - standing, sleeping, sitting, kneeling
✅️ In a stationary vehicle - ex: train, car or boat
✅️ In a boat or canoe without a paddle/oar and you aren't moving. Or a sail boat and you aren't moving
✅️ Closed doors
✅️ Suit cases packed
✅️ Seed under the soil and no growth
These are typical symbols that can indicate that you are in an in-between / transition season.
To add, transition is also a stage of labour. The transition stage of labour is the most intense stage of labour. Likewise, the transition season, in-between season, is quite intense and can be very difficult to keep pushing through without giving up. Thus, we liken this season to labour.
You might think of in-between seasons as the entire time you are waiting for a promise to come to pass. But the in-between season I'm referring to is the bridge between your old season and your new season. Another way to say it - you can wait for 20 yrs and still bear a certain amount of spiritual fruit during that time or can be productive in work or ministry, you see growth and progress happens even though your promise hasn't manifested yet. So that's not the transition or in-between season I'm referring to.
Let's use this example - God gave you a promise 20 yrs ago and you have been obeying all the instructions He gave you since then. You have been waiting for 20 years, but the entire 20 yrs were not an in-between season. The in-between season / transition season comes right before the new season starts. Old doors are closed but new one's not opened yet. For example - let's say your promise came to pass 20 years after God first gave you that promise and maybe the last 2 years of the 20 years, is the in-between or transition season.
However, the length of an in-between season is not prescriptive... Just as you get short bridges and longer bridges. Plus what also comes into play, is the pace that God is moving in your specific instance. God could have you moving at snail pace across a very long bridge, that is going to take you a while to cross over from one side to the other (from one season to another) and so your transition season will then be longer. But God could have you moving at cheetah pace over a short bridge - you are going to get through your transition season in less time and it won't be as long as someone else's might be.
Personally, I've had in-between seasons where I stepped away from a job, based on God's instructions, to start something new - I was crossing the bridge. But then I waited 10 months without work or income until the new season actually started and clients started coming in - I had crossed over to the other side. Those 10 months were my in-between season. Other times I've waited a yr and other times I've waited a few yrs. However.. I'm currently in an in-between / transition season that has lasted 8 yrs so far....
There are going to be more than one in-between / transition season in your lifetime cause if we live for a while on the earth, we are going to have multiple seasons. With multiple seasons come multiple bridges to cross - multiple in-between seasons.
The in-between season is often called transition cause it's like that transition stage of labour. Very hard and intense. It's even possible that in this transition season God will tell you to live temporarily with other people, as you wait for the new season to start.
It's the most uncomfortable stage of waiting for your promise. The most stagnant stage. The least spiritual fruit bearing stage (John 15:1-2).The stage where you say 'I can't do this anymore', just like a woman in the transition stage of labour.
The in-between season is the last bridge you have to cross over, before the season of 'wide open spaces' begins. But it's the only way to cross, so don't jump off the bridge or turn back...
If this word (part 1 and 2) describe how you feel, what God has told you and or if you've had dreams where you've seen things I wrote about above, then you could be in an in-between / transition season, the last part of your waiting before your promise.
