The person in charge of making things actually work? That's the Municipal Manager. 🛠️

Not a politician – a professional. While the council decides what should happen, the Manager makes sure it does happen. Budgets. Staff. Water. Roads. The daily grind of running a municipality.

So when potholes don't get fixed or bills don't make sense? Now you know who carries the operational responsibility.

Different job from the Mayor. Just as important.

Every good meeting needs someone to keep things fair 🎙️

That's your Council Speaker – not a judge, not a mayor, but the person who makes sure every councillor gets a turn to speak, rules are followed, and you as a resident have a way to watch or join in.

When the Speaker is fair and strong, democracy works better. When they're not? Debate gets shut down and accountability goes out the window.

Big job for one chair.
