Our CEO Dr Ncebakazi Galada and our Incubatee, Ms Mahlakata from Village Diva Cosmetics and Abalimi BoMya Association, have been invited to participate at the Expert Forum on Global Justice in Emerging Cannabis Markets
to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 07-09 October 2025. This is part of the Global Network for Social Justice in Emerging Cannabis Markets.

Dr Galada will be part of the panel discussion on “The Global Context: Rebalancing the Narrative”. This panel will focus on the global dimensions of development-focused
cannabis policies, environmental implications, and justice-oriented cannabis
regulations from the perspective of the Global South. Additionally, Ms Mahlakata will also contribute to the panel discussion on “Problem-Focused Stations: Deep Dive into Challenges from the Global South”
Using a World Café format, thematic stations will focus on specific, actionable
issues, moving beyond abstract problems to concrete, lived experiences.

Station 1 where Ms Mahlakata will be contributing to is themed “Bridging the Gap: Overcoming quality standards and
administrative hurdles for small-scale farmers.”

This platform builds up from the contributions made by the Township Cannabis Incubator - TCI at the recent BIWA I CBII conference on rethinking industrialisation policies that will ensure financial inclusion of black industrialists in South Africa. 🇿🇦🌎🌿

We would like to thank the Eastern Cape Department Of Agriculture for the opportunity to attend and exhibit at the Agricultural Open Day that was held today at Dohne Agric Research Institute, Stutterheim. We were honored to have MEC Nonceba Kontsiwe to visit our stand and engage with our entrepreneurs.

As we celebrate Women’s Month, we are intentional about the support of women in cannabiznis. We are breaking the stigma and barriers to market for the emancipation of Women to be the key players in the mainstream economy. We call upon public and private funding entities and strategic partners to support our cause towards skilling and empowering of women in all key economic sectors, with primary focus on cannabis industrialisation.
