AoG Youth Centre

AoG Youth Centre AoG was founded on the bases of need, communal sense of duty and a deep passion for social advancement.

AoG is a practical example of commitment in action modeled as a modern-day initiation school and an incubation hub for young achievers.

Yesterday, our team had the privilege of conducting a powerful MassBase presentation at PHL Moraka Secondary School.

Our engagement focused on issues that continue to affect our youth and families — *Social Crime Prevention and Substance Abuse awareness*. Through open discussions, real-life examples, and practical guidance, we encouraged learners to make informed, responsible choices and to understand the long-term impact of crime and substance misuse.

At AoG, our main aim remains clear:
✔️ Strengthening social crime prevention initiatives
✔️ Combating substance abuse through education and awareness
✔️ Empowering young people to become positive leaders in their communities

We extend our sincere appreciation to the leadership, educators, stakeholders, and learners of PHL Moraka for the warm welcome and active participation. Together, we can build safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

🌟 AoG Youth Centre – School Holiday Programme in Eersterust! 🌟

This school holiday, the AoG Youth Centre proudly hosted a vibrant School Holiday Programme in Eersterus, creating a safe and positive space for our young people.

The aim of the programme was simple yet powerful: to keep young people off the streets, engaged, inspired, and connected during the holiday season. Through fun activities, educational sessions, teamwork, and mentorship, our youth had the opportunity to learn, grow, and make meaningful memories.

🙏 A big thank you to the dedicated youth leaders, volunteers, and partners who made this initiative possible. Your commitment to nurturing and protecting our young people is what strengthens our community.

💛 Together, we continue to build a safer, brighter and purpose-driven future for our youth.

🌍✨ World AIDS Day 2025 | AoG Youth Centre ✨🌍

Today, we join the global community in commemorating World AIDS Day 2025 — a day of reflection, awareness, and renewed commitment in the fight against HIV & AIDS.

At AoG Youth Centre, we stand in solidarity with all individuals, families, and communities affected by HIV. We honour the lives lost, celebrate the progress made, and acknowledge the resilience of those living with HIV.

This year’s theme reminds us of the ongoing need for:
✔️ Prevention
✔️ Education
✔️ Support
✔️ Zero Stigma and Discrimination

As an organisation working closely with young people, we remain committed to creating safe spaces for learning, empowering youth with correct information, and promoting healthy life choices. Ending HIV is possible when we all work together — through compassion, understanding, and access to care.

Let us continue to break the silence, challenge stigma, and support one another. Every voice matters. Every action counts.

❤️ “Communities make the difference.”
AoG Youth Centre stands with you.

Today, AoG Youth Centre proudly joined the National Shutdown March in Hammanskraal under the theme “Vuka Enough – Stand Up Against GBV.”

GBV continues to affect families, young people and entire communities — and today we stood together to say *ENOUGH*.

Alongside local leaders, community members, and young people, we raised our voices for justice, safety, and equality. The community prayer and candle-lighting symbolised our collective hope and commitment to a safer Hammanskraal.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with passion, courage and unity. Together, we will continue fighting for a community where every person is protected, valued and heard.

🎥 Tshwane Municipality Visits AoG Youth Centre

Today, we welcomed representatives from Tshwane Municipality to the Angels of Glory Youth Centre in Hammanskraal/Temba — a centre committed to social crime prevention and substance abuse support for our young people.

The visit comes at a crucial time as our centre continues to face serious challenges, including:
• Lack of funding and resources
• Recently relocating to a dilapidated building in urgent need of renovation
• Plumbing and electrical issues
• Ongoing security threats, with intruders entering the premises and stealing steel pipes, slowing down progress and putting our work at risk

We truly appreciate the municipality for stepping in to understand our situation and explore possible solutions. Their presence gives us hope that together, we can restore the centre, strengthen safety, and continue serving our community with dignity. 💙

AoG remains committed to rebuilding, protecting, and uplifting our youth — no matter the challenge.
