Donating flour, baking ingredients, packaging and other baking goods to the Daily Bread BakeHouse is an opportunity for food companies to turn surplus, excess or donated stock into meaningful youth development. Your contribution directly supports our practical, hands-on skills development programme, giving young people valuable experience in baking, hospitality, food production, entrepreneurship and workplace readiness while helping us build sustainable pathways into employment and self-employment. As a registered NPO, Daily Bread can also work with qualifying corporate partners to support their B-BBEE Enterprise and Socio-Economic Development objectives, and, where the relevant requirements are met, donations may qualify for a Section 18A tax-deductible receipt. By sharing your products, expertise or resources, you are not simply donating flour you are investing in young people, creating opportunity and helping us build a sustainable social enterprise where every bake has a purpose.

Daily Bread's history is not the story of a charity that started with a building and grew.

It is the story of an organisation that lost the building and kept going.
It is the story of adapting when funding disappeared.

Of feeding people when times were hardest.

Of recognising that children need more than food.

Of understanding that education needs to start early.

Of recognising that young people need more than good intentions.

Of turning a volunteer-run thrift store into a self-funding model.

Of turning a bakehouse into a training environment.

And of continually asking:
What can we do with what we have to change what is possible for someone else.
