Today we did a price comparison on the food hampers we provide through the Carmen Stevens Foundation, and we were truly shocked by the real retail value of each hamper.

The food hamper we issue costs us R550 per hamper, but buying the exact same items in a retail store would cost R775.85. That is a saving of over R225 per hamper.

Because we buy in bulk, we are able to get the products at a lower cost, allowing us to help even more children in need.

This shows just how far every donation, partnership, and contribution goes in helping us feed and support more children. Every hamper is carefully packed to make the biggest impact possible❤️

The recent flash floods in Stellenbosch have left devastating damage at Carmen Stevens Wines and the Carmen Stevens Foundation. What is usually a place of hope, hard work and community support has been deeply affected by the extreme weather conditions.

Despite the heartbreak, the spirit of resilience remains strong. Thank you to everyone reaching out with support, prayers and assistance during this difficult time. Together we rebuild, restore and continue making a difference for the communities that rely on us. 🤍

We were handed an envelope with R2,850 from Downeville Primary School as a donation towards food hampers. They raised these funds through a civvies day at school.

Thank you for taking the initiative to do this, Downeville Primary School! 🍽️

We challenge other schools to also participate and raise funds for children in need.
