Somewhere in South Africa, before the sun is properly up, someone is already making sure a child eats well today.

That’s what this is really about. People showing up for children, morning after morning.

We nourish with purpose. Every StartWell meal is made with quality ingredients and bioavailable protein, the kind of protein these little bodies can actually use to grow.

We can’t do that alone. Together with Atterbury Trust , we’re reaching 2,200+ children in schools with the food and care they need to grow. Across the country, StartWell is doing this for 21,000+ children every single day.

Every meal is a small act of belief in what these kids can become.

400 future accountants. One big decision. R30,000 for stunting-free futures.

This year, second-year BCom Accounting students at the University of Pretoria took part in a Giving Games Project, proudly facilitated by King Price Insurance.

Students were introduced to three incredible charities King Price supports, trained in the basics of effective giving, and then went head-to-head in group discussions, debating impact, efficacy, and where their (hypothetical) rand would do the most good.

Then came the vote.

Both classes, roughly 200 students each independently chose StartWell Foundation 🏆

Our mission is simple but urgent: eliminating child stunting in South Africa by giving babies and infants access to the nutrient-dense, bio-available protein they need in their first 1,000 days.

Org van der Wath presented to both classes and accepted a cheque for R30,000 on behalf of StartWell from the BCom Department at UP (TUKS) 🎉

To every student who leaned in, asked hard questions, and chose to back real impact, thank you. This is what the next generation of change makers looks like.

🥣 Taste Test Success at 10th Hanna Charity! 💛

What a wonderful morning we had at 10th Hanna Charity & Emp. Found in Boksburg! The little ones, aged 2 to 5 years, were all eagerly waiting at their colourful tables, ready to be our official taste testers for two brand-new StartWell Kids Cereal flavours: Honey Cinnamon 🍯✨ and Yoghurt 🥛.

These tiny food critics can be some of the toughest judges, but we’re thrilled to say... we passed with flying colours! 🎉 Every last spoonful was happily enjoyed, bowls were scraped clean, and some of the children even came back asking for seconds!

Seeing so many smiling faces and hearing that our new flavours were such a hit made it a truly special morning for the StartWell Foundation team. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do… creating nutritious meals that children genuinely love.

A special shout-out to Jessica and the amazing team at 10th Hanna Charity for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of the fun. We loved sharing this experience with your incredible little ones, and we can’t wait to visit again! 💙

Meet the hands behind every meal 💛

Every story starts somewhere. Ours started with a simple question: why are so many children in South Africa not getting the nutrition they need to grow and thrive?

Meet the StartWell Foods team, the people behind our factory floor. Every single day they produce, pack and deliver StartWell Cereal to make sure it reaches the children who need it, on time, every time. Rain or shine, they show up. Many of our team members are parents themselves, so this work is personal. We know exactly what is at stake in every batch that leaves the factory.

The Foods team are the backbone of our organisation. Without them, there is no StartWell Cereal reaching 21,000 children across 9 provinces. Their care and consistency are what makes our promise to ECDs possible.

Next time you see a pack of StartWell Cereal, know that it passed through the hands of people who genuinely care about the child on the other end.
