Simultaneously whilst ACT Africa team was at UJ Soweto Campus, some of us were at Frida Hartley Shelter for Homeless women and children joining their Soup Kitchen Fridays where the community of Yeoville and surrounds old & young, all races & religions come in droves for a meal & ACT Africa is so thrilled to have been able to add a sweetener through our "You're Worth It " Campaign to uplift selfworth, self esteem & dignity from circumstances esp abuse diminishing these traits by adding a KitKat chocolate slab to each meal with the message "Just For You are Worth It"

It was so heartwarming & brought on tears as people received the chocolates , saw the message and started eulalating & shouting wow it's Christmas, Merry Christmas & Thank you πŸ₯Ή What a Blessing for us to see the joy they exuded...All Glory to God in Jesus Mighty Name πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ

Following an invitation from the Principal of Willow Crescent Secondary School in Eldorado Park, along with other organizations, ACT Africa participated in a program aimed at addressing critical social issues facing their boy scholars, including substance abuse, gangsterism, human trafficking, and Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBV&F) while encouraging academic focus and personal success.

ACT Africa delivered a session on cybercrime, focusing on online bullying, digital abuse, and human trafficking prevention to over 740 boys.
Students were introduced to the No2Violence Yes2Kindness Champions initiative and the You Are Worth It motivational campaign, which inspires youth to speak out against abuse and strive for excellence.

Using the No2Violence board game, the team addressed common misconceptions around GBV&F. When presented with the statement "Victims allow the abuse or attack. They are capable of avoiding or preventing it," many boys initially agreed. The session successfully dispelled this myth, emphasizing that violence is never the victim's fault and no one has the right to abuse another person.

The Key Highlight: Demonstrating the impact of the session, Grade 12 learners lined up to have "No2Violence Yes2Kindness Champion" written on their school shirts as a pledge of support.

Your support helps us protect vulnerable children, educate communities, and break the cycle of abuse across South Africa. Donate to ACT Africa today to empower the next generation and help save young lives.

A survivors message of appreciation to our Chairperson . So encouraging & heartwarming to see and know how this young lady who has been through so much trauma short of losing her life has stood strong and went from victim to survivor, All Glory to God πŸ™πŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

A year ago when ACT Africa was approached for help she was in a very bad space and on the run fearing for her life and the alleged perpetrator was roaming around arrogantly, confident life would carry on without consequences for him as he continued to flex his muscles wielding fear.

Unfortunately for him this young lady was not going to accept this and remain in hiding, she fought back and started regaining her confidence, stopped running, whilst we also ensured that the wheels of justice became unstuck as it was deliberately so and started rolling swiftly. πŸ”₯

The alleged perpetrator's comfortable life came to a halt , was arrested and through our assistance in issuing a No Bail Opposition letter to the court for consideration, this was a strong motivating force and the alleged perpetrator despite trying everything to get bail, it was not granted and will remain imprisoned until completion of the trial. πŸ”₯

"I am in a good space now Thank God" words said to our Chairperson when she paid a courtesy visit to the Survivor. πŸ™πŸ½β£οΈ
