Black Entrepreneurs Alliance

Black Entrepreneurs Alliance At Civic Action Network, we believe in the importance of fair pricing and sustainable energy solutions. Together, we can power a brighter future.

BEA is an advocacy group established in 2021 in order to represent the financially marginalized and economically secluded black entrepreneurs from the capital value chain. Civic Action Network is a newly established non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a fair and ongoing relationship with Eskom, South Africa’s primary electricity provider. Our mission is to advocate for the regulation of

electricity tariffs in a manner that supports local communities and small businesses, ensuring that all citizens have access to reliable and affordable electricity. We do not support the concept of free electricity as a 'manner from heaven,' but instead advocate for flat, fixed rates that are equitable and conducive to the economic growth of our communities. Our approach is centered on collaboration and constructive dialogue with Eskom to create a transparent and accountable system for electricity distribution and pricing. We aim to build a healthy and productive relationship with Eskom, working together to address the challenges of electricity supply and cost. Through community engagement, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships, Civic Action Network strives to ensure that every South African has access to the energy they need to thrive. Join us in our mission to create a fair and sustainable electricity landscape for all.
