EMBALENHLE RESIDENTS ENCOURAGED TO MAKE USE OF DSD SERVICES
EMBALENHLE β Residents of Embalenhle are encouraged to make full use of the services provided by the Department of Social Development (DSD), which is available in the community to assist individuals and families who require social support.
π LOCATION: Embalenhle Extension 4, next to the clinic
DSD can assist with a range of social-development services, including family and child support, child protection and foster-care-related services, support for older persons, disability-related social support and referrals, social work and psychosocial support, assistance with difficult family and social circumstances, community development programmes, and referrals to other relevant government and community services.
Residents are encouraged to utilise the services available in our community rather than travelling far for assistance that may be available locally. If you or someone in your family needs social support, guidance, counselling or assistance with a social challenge, visit the DSD office to find out what help is available.
Residents are encouraged to take the first step by visiting the DSD office and making enquiries about the services available. Do not wait until a situation becomes more difficult before seeking assistance. Whether you need support for yourself, your family or someone in your community, approach the relevant officials and find out how they can assist you.
As a community, we must take advantage of the services and opportunities available to us instead of allowing them to go unused. Residents are encouraged to share this information with their families, friends, neighbours and anyone who may need assistance.
Let us also encourage one another to seek help when it is needed and not to be afraid or ashamed to approach social development services. Early support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. By working together and making use of the resources available in Embalenhle, we can build a stronger, more supportive and caring community.
