Founding Declaration
Today, we establish Mmuso oa Batho as a peaceful, democratic movement dedicated to serving the people and promoting dignity, justice, and opportunity.
We are inspired by the belief that leadership exists to serve the people, not the other way around. We are committed to honest leadership, accountability, community development, and the empowerment of Basotho communities while respecting the rights and dignity of all people in South Africa.
Our movement rejects violence, intimidation, and hatred. We believe that lasting change is achieved through democratic participation, lawful action, dialogue, and service to our communities.
Together, we will work to create opportunities for young people, support entrepreneurs, strengthen families, preserve Basotho heritage, and build a future founded on unity, responsibility, and hope.
Our Motto: Batho Pele – People First.
Our Vision: A society where every person has the opportunity to live with dignity, contribute to their community, and participate in shaping a better future.
