​From mastering first aid skills to exploring the wonders of the Military Museum, our Cubs have been busy growing, learning, and making lifelong memories throughout 2025.
Whether it was building shelters in the outdoors or earning those hard-won interest badges, the spirit of adventure was everywhere! ⛺️🏅

⚜🐺This past weekend, our Cubs had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a night at the DITSONG: National Museum of Natural History! 🌟

🎟As the only natural history museum in Gauteng and one of the largest in South Africa, it was an incredible experience. The Cubs got to explore the museum after hours and see its unique collections, including original hominid fossils. 🦴 They also saw a wide variety of skeletons and specimens of amphibians, fish, reptiles, and mammals. 🦉🦕🦖

To top it all off, they even watched a special screening of 'Night at the Museum'! 🍿 It was a truly unforgettable adventure. ✨

🐾 Big Hearts, Big Help! 🐾

This Friday, our 1st Horison Cub Pack had a very special visit from Candice and her adorable dog from FORA - Friends of Rescue Animals! 🐶🐱

⚜️Our amazing Cubs showed their community spirit by collecting loads of animal food and cozy blankets to donate to FORA, a fantastic shelter that cares for unwanted dogs and cats. We learned all about the incredible work FORA does, operating on the three R's: Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome.🐶🐱

Candice taught us the importance of looking after our furry friends and how to spot if they might be feeling under the weather. Did you know FORA provides deworming, vaccinations, sterilization, and all the veterinary care these animals need? They also give them warm beds, good food, and daily walks!🐶🐱

FORA is a quality of life shelter for 350 dogs and 150 cats, relying solely on public donations. They are a stepping stone towards a forever home for these animals, and we were so happy to help!

We were truly inspired by Candice's dedication and the amazing work FORA does. Remember, they are a registered NPC and need our continued support. Let's keep those tails wagging and purrs going!

A huge thank you to Candice and FORA for visiting us and educating our Cubs. And a massive well done to our Cubs for their generous donations! 👏
