Thanks to Krugersdorp Bowling Club, Riding for a Limb has been enabled to assist Jan with a prosthetic limb.

Coning has started and Jan will be up and bowling again in about 3 weeks time.

In Loving Memory of Uncle Billy Nel, a great supporter of Riding for a Limb.
It is with deep sadness that the Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay communities mourn the passing of Uncle Billy Nel — a remarkable man whose impact will be felt for generations to come.
Uncle Billy was instrumental in bringing the tar road to Kei, helping to open and uplift the area. Many say he “put Kei back on the map,” and his vision and determination played a meaningful role in the community’s development.
He was known as an extraordinary philanthropist, always willing to give generously to those in need. His compassion extended especially to the poor and to animals that were suffering — causes that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Uncle Billy dedicated much of his life to the transformation of South Africa. He served in Treasury within Parliament during the first new government after 1994, contributing during a pivotal time in the country’s history.
Beyond his public contributions, he lived life with passion and joy. He loved bikes, cherished his family deeply, and was a fantastic Latin American dancer. From the rock and roll of the 1950s to the free-spirited music of the 1960s, he embraced life with energy, rhythm, and warmth.
His legacy lives on in the roads we travel, the lives he touched through his generosity, and the community he helped shape.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
May his soul rest in peace.
