*IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CRIMINAL CASE LAYED AGAINST MALUTI A PHOFUNG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY’S TOP ECHELON*
The time has come that we as MAP 16 Civic Movement can no longer tolerate the level of Malfeasance, maladministration and violation of basic human rights in Maluti-A-Phofung.
Most of our communities have been without water for a very long time. Our leadership, including MAP 16 Councillors tried to engage the Municipality on issues of service delivery, but thereis leadership bankruptcy in Maluti-A-Phofung. The people of Maluti-A-Phofung cannot be tormented for over 30 years, and we remain mum.
This abuse and brutality must come to an end. Hence, on this day (11/04/2024), a *CRIMINAL CASE* was
opened against the Executive Mayor, Masetjhaba Mosia-Lakaje, Acting Municipal Manager, Amos Goliath and the CEO of MAP Water, W***y Lefora. We hope the law will take its course against all who violate the basic human rights of the people of M-A-Phofung. We also engage relevant Chapter 9 institutions on this matter.
As MAP 16 Civic Movement, we stand by the people of Maluti-Phofung.
