BCA @ Work 💪
This week we focused on the Spruit, started cleaning up the verges along Jan Smuts and, together with U-Turn, pulled weeds at Stadio Park, plus our weekly dump run & weekly care of the rec centre area.

Please shout if there’s a specific area in the hood that needs some TLC - with winter around the corner the grass cutting is finalllly slowing down 😅

And please continue to support us with your monthly contributions, we can’t do it without you 🙏

BIG THINGS START WITH COMMUNITY.

Join the BCA AGM from 12:30 on 30 May followed by a community lunch and refreshments available for purchase.

This is your chance to:
• Hear what’s happening in Blairgowrie
• Learn about upcoming community projects
• Meet your neighbours
• Help shape the future of our suburb

We’ll also be hosting a raffle fundraiser in support of the next Community Centre upgrade project — and we’re looking for raffle prize donations from local businesses and residents.

Only 9% of residents currently contribute to the BCA. Imagine what we could achieve together with more support.

Please RSVP here - https://zfrmz.com/kTGcdK7eYt91hQNmxIFf

Autumn has arrived and with it the beauty of changing colours across our neighbourhood.

Most of our parks are looking lovely at the moment, thanks to the many hands helping to care for them:
* City Parks for cutting Denise and Rose Gardens
* Iwhan for keeping Nola looking sharp
* Delta Park School for loyally looking after Kenworthy Park (plus the other parks on request)
* Our BCA employees, Percy and Jeffrey, for jumping from one location in the neighbourhood to the next — Stadio Park, Blairgowrie Park, the Recreation Centre and lapa, police housing, the Spruit, Denise Park, the post office…the list goes on
* The men in the U-Turn programme at Christ Church for lending valuable support, helping with litter collection and weeding along the edges of parks at Nola and Stadio.

We’re grateful that the branches from the trees trimmed at the post office have finally been removed, together with a trailer-full’s worth of rubbish.

And thank you, as always, to Talisman Hire Blairgowrie for stepping in with tools whenever we are running short.

There is always more to do, but every little bit counts. Please continue supporting the work being done around the neighbourhood. There is never a shortage of projects and ideas — but unfortunately, dreams always come at a cost.
