TMC Academy is registered with the MICT SETA as an accredited training provider. TMC Academy was created under Abundant Media to work with existing brands, The Media Connection and The Brand Connection, to provide training solutions to the radio stations the company serves. putation in the community radio sector (as The Media Connection), was established to accomplish the following:
to afford community radio with the skills the sector needs,
to ensure the funding the sector deserves,
to produce quality content that is appealing and meaningful to communities, clients and others. Offerings include:
· NQF level accredited full courses,
· non-accredited solutions-based short courses,
· internship placement
· mentorship programmes. Through training of community radio stations, TMC Academy hopes to empower community radio to garner more respect from advertisers in order to stimulate spend. This will create sustainable community radio stations that can create jobs in the sector in order to serve communities more effectively. Community development through skills will also address the shortage of knowledge in areas of the sector which hopes to ensure the financial, and content production, sustainability of community radio stations.
