Without a fixed address, applying for employment becomes difficult. Without work, paying rent is impossible. Without stable housing, finding employment becomes even more challenging. It is a cycle that traps thousands of people across Johannesburg every day.

Come bake with us!

Learn to make classic Chelsea Buns – everyone welcome. We want to give back to the community that support what we do 😁

Bring a small practical gift for the service centre if you can (non perishable food, second hand clothes/shoes or soap/toiletry items).

It is always inspiring when clients come back to the service centre just to show they found their way.

Yesterday one such client came to show our social worker the car he was just able to buy.

He was once a client at Tshepo CDI. He had an alcohol addiction, he lost his job and his way, he ended up on the streets. The social worker helped him with space in the shelter and started him on our programme. She encouraged him and the service centre was his temporary safe space until he made the choice to take back his life.

He now has a good job, makes better decisions and his life is showing it. The car is just one example of setting goals and making better decisions to find a journey off the street. A bright red reminder that it is possible

We pray for the journey of all people walking through our doors. They all look different, but God loves them all!

Raymond has been our coordinator from 2013 and has served Tshepo with dedication. He is our right hand man in most things and his reliability has been worth so much to the fellow staff, clients and community alike.
