We are answering a calling to be responsible South Africans. Khensani’s Collection is a registered Non-Profit Company. Our work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to promote the development of young people. Khensani’s collection strives to give academically talented but economically disadvantaged youth an opportunity to reach their full potential. Currently our focu

s is on the children of Diepsloot. We work with a group of children who range from 5 to 21 years of age. Although much time is spent focusing on mentoring, feeding and community upliftment, the primary aim of the charity is education. We have seen that when a child is educated it has a ripple effect and benefits their families and communities. Education truly is a gift that yields tangible results. We want to enable bright students with a willingness to progress themselves the opportunities that many take for granted. We do not believe in hand outs. We know that when someone needs to work for something they will see the value in it. Our goal is to open doors, provide connections, guidance, direction and assist financially in the success of the future leaders in our country. Khensani’s Collection is not a noble cause - it is a necessity. Among other initiatives, Khensani’s Collection facilitates a mentorship program for teens in Diepsloot. We pair people up on-on-one with a same s*x teen. The adult mentors play a life skills and educational upliftment role to the teen. Quarterly get togethers are held to encourage and facilitate. Khensani’s Collection is named after a special young lady whose happiness in diversity inspired a movement. The dream is to educate young girls and boys like Khensani who have light in their eyes, a desire to succeed and the potential to do so. The name Khensani means “to give thanks”.

We would like to say a big thank you to the following people and school for your recent support and donations:

🌱 Gaby from St Stithians Girls donated and help plant 150 trees at ECD center.

🌱 Valdene Reddy donated a generous amount of clothes which make a meaningful difference in the lives of our children and help us provide assistance to those in need within our school community.

🌱 Celebrating Youth Day Through Action, Hope and Sustainability 🌱

As part of the Rotary Club of Morningside's 40th Anniversary celebrations, we were honoured to be hosted with a special Youth Day event at Khensani's Collection in partnership with our students, volunteers, and supporters.

Together, we planted 40 trees, created 40 ecobricks, and established a vegetable garden that will support our community soup kitchen. These activities were more than symbolic—they were a practical investment in a greener, more sustainable future for our children, their families, and our community.

The ecobricks produced by our students and volunteers will contribute towards the construction of future learning spaces, while the trees and vegetable garden will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

The day was filled with learning, teamwork, laughter, and purpose, culminating in the sharing of a warm meal of soup and rolls together.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Morningside for choosing to celebrate their remarkable 40-year milestone by investing in the lives of young people. Thank you also to every volunteer, supporter, educator, and student who participated and made the day such a success.

Youth Day reminds us that when we empower young people with opportunities, skills, and hope, we are planting the seeds for a brighter South Africa.
