Signa Trust is a registered PBO educational body founded in 2012 by Signa Group whose sole objective is that of supporting the education of previously disadvantaged women to empower them to make a meaningful contribution to their own quality of life and society. The Trust enjoys B-BBEE recognition of 100 % black woman ownership due to the beneficiary base which is all female students in the youth category. Holistic female student support approach to secure a successful economic future. The Trust invests in individuals to secure a successful economic future and create a positive impact on their lives. We have learned over our 14 years of impact that holistic student support is required to enable genuine success.

In addition to paying tertiary fees, Signa Trust provide a comprehensive safety net. Our onboarding and ongoing support structure include:

* Direct Study Costs: Full tuition, book allowances, and laptops.

* Ancillary/Living Costs: Monthly stipends for all unemployed students, and formalised accommodation support backed by lease agreements.

* Wellness & Mentorship: Recognising the pressures of higher education, students are registered on the HeadSpace platform for dedicated mental health and wellness support, alongside ongoing career guidance and mentorship.

Gaining access to tertiary education is one part of the opportunity. Having the support to continue and succeed matters too.

85 female students funded. 85 opportunities made possible. Driving inclusion in higher education.

Since 2012, Signa Trust has provided funding to young black South African women pursuing tertiary qualifications across fields including ICT, Medical and Science.

Behind every number is a woman working towards a qualification, a career and greater economic independence.

And the impact doesn't end with one person.

When women are given opportunities to succeed, the impact reaches further.

Signa Trust is a registered NPO/PBO. The Trust issues a Section 18A certificate upon receipt of donation, providing tax benefit including all accurate B-BBEE reporting documentations.

Earlier this Mandela Month, we asked a simple question: Who gave you your first opportunity?

A bursary. A mentor. An open door. For many talented young women across South Africa, that first chance is still out of reach.

Signa Trust exists to change that. Since 2012, the Trust has funded the tertiary education of previously disadvantaged black South African women, covering tuition, learning materials, and living support, so they can complete their studies and build sustainable futures.
