Warm Ears, Kind Hearts, Bright Futures

This morning, Ladli Foundation Africa, in partnership with Baitul Salaamz, successfully hosted its Winter Ear Warmer Distribution Programme at Newclare Primary School, bringing warmth, encouragement and hope to learners during the winter season.

Beyond distributing winter ear warmers, the programme focused on empowering learners through meaningful discussions on kindness, respect and anti-bullying, encouraging children to choose compassion, stand up against bullying and treat one another with dignity. Learners were also inspired through messages on the importance of education, making good choices, setting goals, believing in themselves and working hard to build brighter futures.

The programme was warmly welcomed by the school community and featured addresses by:

🧶 Weaving Hope: Honoring Madiba’s Legacy Through Collective Action

This season, Ladli Foundation Africa and SABT Foundation have united to turn compassion into action. In support of the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day movement, we have distributed premium wool to communities across Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Durban, empowering citizens to transform simple yarn into lasting warmth.

Several of our partner institutions have also launched training programmes, teaching scholars and community members the skills of knitting and crocheting these blankets, ensuring that the spirit of giving is passed on to future generations.

It was an honour for Devendra Kumar , Founder of Ladli Foundation Trust, to have a warm and visionary courtesy meeting with Mr. Sachin Ahuja one of South Africa’s most respected industrialists and the CMD of Alfeco Holdings (alfeco_group)

Mr. Sachin Ahuja’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings near Jaipur to leading a diversified industrial conglomerate in South Africa reflects extraordinary resilience, entrepreneurship, and commitment towards nation-building. Under his leadership, Alfeco Holdings has emerged as a major force in the steel, aluminium, copper, renewable energy, and manufacturing sectors, creating thousands of employment opportunities and driving sustainable industrial growth across Africa.

Beyond business excellence, Mr. Ahuja is widely admired for his philanthropic leadership through the Alfeco Foundation, which is transforming communities through education, food security, youth empowerment, women empowerment, environmental sustainability, and large-scale feeding programs benefiting thousands of children across South Africa.
