In Africa, there are difficulties with regard to poverty and the development of its citizens, and South Africa is no different. This difficulty is persistent and complex, therefore it is the responsibility of the new generation and the community at large to take a stand and tackle the situation.

AAFLD is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 by a group of individuals from Pretoria whilst being members of various communities and employment, the founders shared a vision and discovered the need to develop and empower previously disadvantaged families in the Pretoria district through financial and moral support. Moreover, the organization is considered an ideal mediator between government, businesses, institutions and individuals in formulating strategies to develop communities. The organization aims to create, develop and instill better living conditions and an improved lifestyle through the mandate authorized by the Department of Social Development; the organization aims to establish an adequate and beneficial relationship with government, institutions, businesses and communities at large.
