Friends of Groenkloof and Klapperkop Nature Reserves Nonprofit org. | Mission: Maintain & preserve the utilization & conservation of these reserves. We can only do this with your help.

The Friends of Groenkloof and Klapperkop Nature Reserves are a non-profit volunteer based organization with the aim to maintain and conserve these nature reserves in Pretoria, South Africa. Some of the past projects include: Security upgrades, game fence, road game grids, reintroduction of wild animal species, rehabilitation, tree planting, MTB trails, removal of wattle and invasive alien plants,

Want to make a real difference while enjoying the outdoors? Join our Community Hacking Group and help protect our local natural spaces by removing invasive alien plants. Why join?
• Protect indigenous plants and wildlife.
• Get fresh air and gentle exercise.
• Meet like-minded people.
• Do something truly meaningful.

When?
• First Friday of every month (ideal for retirees).
• Second Sunday of every month (perfect for working folk).

What to expect:
• Early morning sessions (max. 3 hours).
• Work at your own pace.
• All ages welcome.
• Equipment and guidance provided.

Bring along: Old clothes, sun protection, and water.
