Ensuring a brighter future for our young people. Youth Equipment Agency is a non-profit company aiming to transform the lives of young people, the company’s main objectives is to build up youth centers where young people and the communities at large can engage in and get training on developing their skills and to have seminars where there will be knowledge sharing on how can a young
person start their own businesses in order to make a living in stead of waiting for the government to create job opportunities. Young people will be trained, and they will be able to go out on the business world to start up their own businesses which will open job opportunities for others and contribute towards growing the country’s economy. In the center there will be various activities going on including giving care to orphans and guiding them where guidance will be needed. The company will be involving the community in all projects as a way of making a change and developing communities. In line with the current situation going on in the country about gender-based violence, we want to draw up a contingency plan on training man to be the protective shield of women. Women must feel safe where a man is, they must not feel in danger. To avoid such acts various activities will be introduced in schools and communities and campaigns will be started to stop this violence as well as to stop substance abuse which we believe contributes to this violence. YEA also aims to engage with schools in line with the objective of bringing career exhibitions to provide support such as buying uniform for those who are in need and give them the information they will need as they begin a career path which will impact their future, as well as giving a clear picture of college or university admission system as to how it works and how they have to pass for them to end up at university. To the grade 12 learners the aim is to further help them apply to avoid a situation where one will take a gap year because they did not have money and correct career guidance and knowledge.
