Into Lesotho. 🇱🇸

From Sani Pass to Katse Dam, Thaba-Tseka and Maletsunyane Falls — these are some of the scenes recently captured by Will of Africa while travelling through Lesotho.

Snow-covered roads, changing mountain conditions, livestock in the road, remote terrain and some extraordinary landscapes.

This is also what adventure looks like beyond the polished tourism photographs: unpredictable conditions, real communities, real environments and the need for the knowledge, judgement and preparation to operate responsibly in them.

SA AIA is proud to collaborate with people and businesses working across the adventure and overlanding space, and to keep building connections between those doing the work on the ground.

Gauteng — registration is now open! 👋

Join us for the SA AIA x Phahama Lodge Adventure Industry Open Day on Tuesday, 27 October 2026.

This free, in-person event is open to members and non-members and is designed to bring together people from across the adventure, outdoor learning, tourism and training sectors.

The day will include:
- Industry presentations and discussion
- Q&A sessions
- A game drive
- Low ropes course interaction
- A guide-led game walk
- Time to connect with other industry stakeholders
- Light refreshments

We’d love to see adventure operators, guides, venues, training providers, schools, educators, tourism stakeholders and representatives from both the private and public sectors joining us.

This will be a free opportunity for members, non-members and wider industry stakeholders to connect, explore, learn more about the work happening across the adventure sector, and engage with others working in adventure tourism, outdoor learning, training and related spaces.
