"Life is short and eternity is long. God is eternal, but mankind's days are few.

So here's my question: Are we living today as if we will be here forever, as if what we're doing is going to go on and on and on?

This earth is just a campground. You don't plan to live on a campground. You go there for a few days. We're pilgrims. We're passing through this earth, but we're headed to our true home—a new heaven and a new earth."

—Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

"Teach us to number our days carefully so that we may develop wisdom in our hearts." (Psalm 90:12)

Friend, it’s so easy to get tunnel vision and become wrapped up in this present life. But Psalm 90 calls us to change our perspective.

“Hallelujah” is one of the most familiar words in the Christian vocabulary. And lately, it's been showing up all over social media and in music—but do we really know what it means?

In today's episode, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth takes us to Psalm 113 and unpacks the rich meaning behind this powerful word. More than an expression of excitement, hallelujah is a call to praise the Lord—to celebrate His greatness, rejoice in His redemption, and lift our eyes above our circumstances to the God who reigns.

Whether you're walking through joy or sorrow, praise is not just an occasional response . . . it’s meant to be a way of life.

"Sometimes memorizing Scripture is hard. You work and work, and for some reason, the verse just doesn’t stick in your brain...

And then there’s Psalm 23. I don’t remember ever setting out to memorize this beloved psalm, yet somehow it’s lodged in my mind anyway—and I’m grateful. It was the first passage I helped my kids memorize, and I pray that it settles deep into their souls so that they will always remember the comforting words about our Shepherd.

Sometimes, however, familiarity can dull a passage’s power. We’re so accustomed to the language of Psalm 23 that we stop considering the significance behind its images. Perhaps one such image is the comforting rod and staff in verse 4.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why the Shepherd has two tools in His hands? Or why their presence would be so comforting to the psalmist?"

The familiar words of Psalm 23 hold deeper meaning than we often realize. Learn why the Shepherd’s rod and staff are such a source of comfort for His sheep in today's article by Cindy Matson, "His Rod and Staff Are So Comforting."

AN INVITATION:
Come Make a Difference in the Lives of the Next Generation of Women in Our Nation – A “God-sized” Project

We are deeply aware of the sensitive and formative season in every woman’s life—the transition from being a teenager to becoming a mature woman with responsibilities toward a husband and children. During this stage, young women make important decisions about their values and beliefs, choices that will have a profound impact on their future families.

The new Revive Our Hearts booklet, Called to Thrive: Finding Freedom, Fullness, and Fruitfulness in Christ, is an ideal resource to help guide a young woman on her journey into adulthood.

Our dream is to place a copy of this booklet into the hands of every young woman writing her final matric examinations. Yes, you heard correctly. It is a VERY BIG dream or, as some would say, a “God-sized vision.”

The booklet has already been translated into Afrikaans as well, under the title Geroep om te floreer: Vind vryheid, vervulling en vrug in Christus and will be available soon.

Inside the front cover of the booklet, readers will find a Linktree QR code. This will provide easy access to the full range of Revive Our Hearts Bible-based resources and discipleship materials.

We would like to invite you to become part of this “God-sized” project. You can become part in the following ways:

* We need people who can serve as contacts at schools, mothers, or teachers who are involved in a school and can help create opportunities for these booklets to be distributed as gifts to matric girls.
* We need financial support to keep printing and distributing the booklets. We have already received a generous donation that will enable us to print the first 5,000 copies, but this is only a drop in the bucket compared to the number we hope to place in the hands of young women across the country.
*
We need people who feel called to pray for this project.
If what you have read has stirred your heart, we encourage you to pray about it and see whether this project resonates with you. If so, please contact us at [email protected].

If you donate, please send us your contact details so that we can keep you informed about the impact of your contribution. Our financial partners are deeply valued, and we are grateful for every person who joins us in investing in the next generation of women.

Today we pause to thank God for the gift of fatherhood and for the faithful fathers and father figures who reflect His character in the way they love, lead, teach, protect, and serve.
May we celebrate the men who have pointed us toward the heart of our Heavenly Father, and may we be reminded that His love remains constant, faithful, and true.
Happy Father’s Day from Revive Our Hearts! 💙

Many of us did have dads who loved us and did their best to care for us. Whether your relationship with your father is strained or stable, pained or nearly perfect, all of us have a God-given responsibility to honor our fathers. The Scripture says in Exodus chapter 20, verse 12. “Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.”

If you could share about your dad, what words would you use? By God’s grace, we can all obey the biblical command to honor our fathers. Listen as Nancy and her late husband, Robert, do just that.

"Being a dad is a 24/7 calling—one that’s often rewarding, sometimes difficult, and always important. God calls fathers to be the spiritual leaders in their homes, to provide for and protect their families, and to instill in their children a love for God and His Word. This calling comes with real pressure, especially as fathers strive to point their children to Jesus in a world that constantly pulls them in the opposite direction.

My own dear husband feels the weight of this role. With our kids now in their teens, he often questions if he’s doing enough or doing it right at all. He sees the day rapidly approaching when these kids will leave our home and step out into the world, and it’s easy for him to become discouraged as doubts creep in and he questions whether he’s been a good father.

This Father’s Day, I want to give my husband more than a table saw and one day of celebration. I want to encourage him to look to our heavenly Father as a guide in this sacred role—and to trust Him in our family’s unique circumstances and challenges."

Today on the Revive Our Hearts blog, Mindy Kroesche is sharing 10 powerful truths to encourage and uplift her husband and ALL fathers who carry the weight of leading their families with love, faith, and perseverance. Perhaps they will encourage the men in your life as well.

The Psalms show us how to bring every part of life before God—our joys, our fears, our questions, and our praise.

Dwell: 30 Days with God in the Psalms guides you through thirty passages that teach you to express your whole heart to Him.

Here’s what readers are saying about this newly updated classic resource from Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth:

“A truly phenomenal experience! God has faithfully awakened me each morning for the past thirty days. As I surrender to Him and focus on His Word, my life has been beautifully transformed!”

“This devotional has taught me how to spend time with God. It has changed my heart and my way of looking at all that He has done for me!”

When you give any amount to Revive Our Hearts this month, we’ll send you a copy as our thanks. We hope Dwell will encourage you to bring every emotion, every burden, and every joy before the Lord. You can tell him everything. Let the Psalms—and Nancy’s reflections—show you how.
