When our foundation , the Gamalakhe Community Development Foundation , GCDF, was known as the Gamalakhe Youth Development Forum , ( GYDF ), we embarked in some youth development programme working together with the former Margate TLC and the Margate Business Association.

This is the house whereby young people who trained in bricklaying showcased their skills. Today, there is a family which was destitute that owns a house and we are proud of the contribution we made. They stayed here since 1994 and this basically means it has been 30 years since we changed some people's lives.

The family was identified from the vulnerable group within the community.

Programme 2 : Socio-economic transformation, heritage, arts and culture.

Forward with building social consciousness and reviving activism in a troubled society.

We owe it to the young people in general, our children and future generations to come.
