Fairways, Fellowship, and Fine Spirits: The 41ers Golf Weekend Recap!

What a weekend! This February, 41ers Port Elizabeth had the privilege of hosting the annual 41ers Golf Weekend, and it’s safe to say the memories made were even better than the golf played.
From the majestic greens of Wedgewood Golf Estate to the stunning St Francis Golf Club, we saw Old Tablers from every corner of South Africa reunite for a weekend of pure camaraderie.

The Kickoff
The tone was set on Thursday night at Cubata Lorraine. Over a mountain of great ribs, distant friends became close brothers once again. While some chose to get some "shut-eye" for the early start, others decided they were champions of the pool table instead of the golf course!

Day 1: Wedgewood Golf Estate
Friday morning arrived with high expectations. We headed to Wedgewood to flex the skills our tongues had definitely oversold the night before! We witnessed:
• Some truly amazing shots.
• A few "questionable" ones (to say the least).
• Bunkers that were dug significantly deeper by the end of the day.

The day ended on a high note, hosted by Round Table PE West 142 for a legendary steak dinner at their clubhouse.

Day 2: The Party Bus to St Francis
6:00 AM came early on Saturday, but the "par-tee" didn't start until the 41ers rolled in! We hit the road for St Francis Golf Club in full party-bus fashion.

Despite the "toll" of the previous night’s festivities, our determination was unmatched. We forged ahead through the pristine greens, played a stellar round, and made sure to frequent a few roadside establishments on the way back to keep our... spirits... high.

The Grand Finale
The weekend wrapped up with a spectacular Lamb and Chicken spit braai at the Round Table Algoa 108 Clubhouse. Prize-giving was an absolute blast as we honoured those who excelled (and cheered on those who just survived!).

A Massive Thank You
This weekend was about more than just golf; it was about Fellowship and creating the kind of stories you take home to your family.

A huge shout-out to:
• Every 41er who travelled to join us.
• The 41ers Port Elizabeth team for the seamless organization.
• Our hosts at Round Table PE West 142 and Round Table Algoa 108.
