This Youth Day, we express our deep gratitude and appreciation to the group of 1976. We would not be celebrating this day without your strength, courage, sweat, blood, and tears that changed the course of our nation. You fought for young Black people and ensured that everyone, both those who survived and those who did not, left a lasting mark in this country. We are forever thankful to the youth of 1976 for sacrificing your lives for a brighter future, and we bow down in respect to you, for you are indeed the heroes and heroines of our nation.
To the unemployed youth, let us learn from the legacies of these heroes and heroines. If we want the system to change, value us, and create job opportunities for a better life, we must take to the streets and fight for our futures. The people in parliament often seem more interested in their own success and that of their children rather than the success of our generation.
Moreover, as the torchbearers of tomorrow, we must also play a vital role in protecting our planet. By advocating for environmental justice and climate action, we can contribute to a sustainable future for all. Let’s unite in our efforts to combat climate change, promote conservation, and stand up for the health of our Earth. Together, we can ensure that our voices are heard and our planet is preserved.🌍✊🏾
