PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS x2 WANTED

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Clear criminal record
Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science)
Valid driver’s license
Metallurgical qualification – National Diploma / Degree in Metallurgy, or a trade/technical qualification in a foundry or process discipline
Formal supervisory or production management training / certificate
Valid first-aid, fire-fighting or HSE representative certification
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete production reports, logbooks, and operational records accurately.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and hazard identification activities.
Coordinate shift handovers to ensure smooth production continuity.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and recovery rates.
Enforce health, safety, environmental, and PPE compliance standards.
Execute daily production plans and ensure production targets are achieved.
Implement corrective actions for off-specification products and quality issues.
Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards.
Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards within the production area.
Manage employee attendance, performance, and workplace discipline.
Manage raw material charging and alloy blending to meet production requirements.
Monitor furnace performance, energy consumption, and material recovery rates.
Monitor melt temperatures, metal quality, and alloy specifications.
Oversee ingot casting processes and ensure product quality standards are maintained.
Provide production data and reports to management for operational planning.
Review laboratory and spectrometer results and adjust processes as required.
Supervise daily melting and furnace operations.
Supervise, train, and support production staff across the shift.
Track and report production output, yield, downtime, and operational performance.
