Special Divine Service for all Ministers

On Tuesday the 25th of August 2026 all ministers from the Arcadia,Gelvandale and Fernwood Park districts gathered in Clearly Park for a special service conducted by Apostle Gerome Mintoor.

Before service the orchestra set a wonderful atmosphere and prepared the congregation for a very special divine service.

Message Summary:
The bible text for this divine service was from Mark 11:17, where the Lord declares, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." From this text, he unfolded a profound connection between the House of God, prayer, and oneness: The Apostle tied together the House/Temple as a dwelling of God's presence. Prayer as the activity that sanctifies that house, and oneness among ministers/congregation as what prayer produces and what qualifies the house as truly "His".

District Rector, Shepherd Peter La Bercensie was called to serve along.

All ministers experienced a blessed encounter together.

Brick By Brick project Balfour Heights Congregation takes off…

After much anticipation the first Phase of the project kicked off.
The Rector of the congregation Community Evangelist Wayne Myburgh said it brings great joy to see this project come alive but more joy to see the smiles on the members faces.

Phase one included a fresh touch of paint for walls and floor. New Led lights installed.
Rector says "This was just the touch up phase but it brought much joy, we can't wait to start with phase 2."

We now look forward with excitement to the next phase.

On Sunday, 16 August 2026, the District Rector Siyabonga Ndongeni conducted a divine service in Bereng Street congregation.

The sermon was based on Bible Text John 17:20-21(excerpt). I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;that they all my be one.

The District Rector called upon Priest Sakhiwo Matheza to serve along.

During the divine service, following the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Rector, designated by Apostle Mintoor, appointed Priest Sakhiwo Matheza as the Rector of the Bereng Street Congregation.

After the divine service, the District Rector encouraged all in attendance to continue steadfastly in faith, unity, and in oneness.

The District Rector called upon Priest Lungelo Mahlahla to serve along.

During the divine service, following the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Rector, designated by Apostle Mintoor, appointed Priest Zwelinzima Kona as the Rector of the Khanyisa Congregation.

After the closing hymn, the District Rector asked the congregation to support the new rector with their gifts, talents and remain in oneness and do everything in their power to preserve that oneness and unity.

Sunday 12 July 2026, the District Rector Siyabonga Ndongeni conducted a divine service in the Nobuhle extension 8 congregation.

The Bible texy was taken from Matthew 6:10 "Your kingdom come."

Massage:
We are witnesses to both the present and the coming kingdom of God.

The District Rector called Priest Michael Sam to serve along.

During the divine service, after the celebration of Holy Communion, the District Rector, designated by Apostle Mintoor, placed Priest Misile Nokhetshe into early retirement and appointed Priest Michael Sam as the new Rector of the Nobuhle Extension 8 Congregation.

After the divine service, the District Rector asked and encouraged the congregation to support the Rector with their gifts and talents in honor of our Heavenly Father and took time to greet the congregation.

𝐀𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

On Sunday morning 16 August 2026 the Apostle Gerome Mintoor served the Balfour Heights congregation after much anticipation and preparation. As basis for the divine service a Bible text was used recorded in Mark 6 v 50-51 "for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled."

The message of the divine service was, "In difficult circumstances may we continuously remind ourselves Jesus pray for us and is with us". The Apostle encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast and immovable in our faith in all circumstances, Jesus is with us and pay for us. Let us in the storm show true character as children of God.
The Apostle asked the Priest Nico Kemoetie to serve along with him.
On the day 11 children and 1 adult received the gift of the Holy Spirit through Holy Sealing.
Three deacons were ordained during the divine service. To celebrate this festive occasion, the congregation enjoyed a warm and joyful fellowship with the Apostle after the service.

𝐁𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫!

A festive and deeply blessed atmosphere filled Gelvandale congregation on Sunday, 16 August as Apostle G Mintoor conducted a special divine service. The choir, orchestra and children’s choir contributed to the joyful atmosphere, preparing the congregation for a meaningful encounter with the Word of God.

The basis for the service was Mark 6 verse 50 - 51, "for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."
Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled."

The account provided a powerful reminder that the presence of Christ does not mean that we will never encounter storms or headwinds in our lives. Rather, it assures us that we do not face them alone. The congregation was encouraged to place its trust in God in every season of life. Whether life is calm or challenging, we are called to remain faithful and to serve God out of love and gratitude, rather than allowing difficulties to weaken our commitment.

The Priest Alfie Moses was called to serve along.

During the service, 36 souls received the gift of the Holy Spirit through the act of Holy Sealing.

The service was a celebration of God’s grace, a reminder of His abiding presence and an encouragement to face life's headwinds with renewed faith. As the congregation departed, the words of Christ remained as a source of strength: “It is I; do not be afraid.”
