About 30 children die from extreme hunger and malnutrition each day in South Africa, totaling roughly 11,000 preventable deaths annually.

The Mayibuye Nutrition Drive is often not posted on our socials because we value human dignity more that we do likes and shares, but rest assured that we are still going strong.

We continue to rely on our partners to deliver immediate relief to our communities while we actively search for sustainable solutions to the national food security crisis.

🌍🇿🇦 Mayibuye Civic Movement stands in firm support of anti illegal immigration activism🇿🇦🌍

The Mayibuye Civic Movement is committed to supporting the ongoing activism against illegal immigration. Our stance is clear: respecting South Africa’s laws, borders, and sovereignty is essential to protecting the livelihoods of our citizens.

Demanding adherence to these principles is not xenophobic; it is a necessary step in ensuring the security and prosperity of our nation. We believe that Pan-Africanism should enhance, not undermine, the well-being of South Africans.

Together, let's foster a future where our commitment to unity across the continent respects and uplifts the rights and safety of every South African. 🌟🤝

This is not Woolworths. This is not AI. This is Mayanda Fresh, founded by Sabelo Mkhwanazi, a young and dynamic entrepreneur from KwaZulu-Natal, who is rewriting the narrative and proving that South Africans can own and successfully manage their own businesses. Mayanda Fresh, his fresh produce and grocery store, is a shining example of hard work, passion, and dedication. Sabelo's journey dispels the myth that South Africans are lazy and incapable, showcasing instead the vibrant potential that lies within our communities.

His story is not just about a local store; it's about empowerment and the revitalization of our townships and rural areas. We the Mayibuye Civic Movement, are committed to replicating Sabelo's success in every township across Nelson Mandela Bay and the surrounding Sarah Baartman District Municipality. Through practical local economic development, formalizing township and rural retail, and encouraging youth and women participation, we aim to foster community ownership, job creation, and a thriving local economy.

Let's support our own by choosing local and uplifting stories like Sabelo's. Follow us for updates and join us in turning these aspirations into reality. Together, we are building a future where every community member has the opportunity to thrive. 🌱💪

“To the fearless heroines of our nation. Mothers who give us life, nourishment, and protection. Sisters who celebrate all that is good in us and urge us to fix the all that is bad. Wives who are our strength when we are week. Daughters who look up to us and in turn make us want to be better than what we were.

I am nothing if not your son, brother, husband, and father.”

BAIC Automobile SA, Foton South Africa and FAW Trucks we will not retreat on this matter.

"We need Chinese business owners to understand that South Africa is facing a high unemployment rate, and we are calling on all employers to prioritise the employment of South Africans. We appreciate China's investment in our country, but we will not tolerate any non-compliance with our labour laws." said Deputy Minister Jomo Sibiya while addressing the Department of Employment and Labour's advocacy session with Chinese business owners in the Western Cape.

The Mayibuye Civic Movement has recently shed light on the unethical practice at BAIC Automobile SA, where illegal Chinese immigrants were being regularly rotated into management positions using visitor visas instead of obtaining proper work permits or appointing local citizens. Following the exposure, it has been reported that more than 250 of these illegal immigrants have left the country. Despite this, the company has not advertised the newly vacant positions. Instead, there are disturbing reports that many of these immigrants are attempting to re-enter the country. Numerous applications for work visas by these individuals have been rejected.

Alarmingly, there are reports of these individuals intimidating South African employers into providing copies of their IDs and confirming their supposed purpose of coming to South Africa to transfer skills, in support of their work visa applications. While many South African workers have stood their ground against such exploitation, others have succumbed to the pressure and handed over copies of their IDs.

This situation is not an isolated incident but rather appears to be a systematic organizational strategy. Records suggest that the acting CEO, Mr. Ma Yan Feng, allegedly obtained a work visa under these false pretenses.

Mayibuye Civic Movement condemns this atrocious conduct with the contempt it deserves and we call on the Department of Employment and Labour and the Department of Home Affairs to attend to it with immediate to ensure that those 250+ job opportunities benefit South African citizens.

Mayibuye Civic Movement remains committed to advancing the plight of the workers of BAIC Automobile SA and the working class in general.

🚨We are Bulelwa and Bulelwa is us 🚨

Update: The court has remanded the case against Thamsanqa Mlubi to 10 September 2026, as the investigation has not yet been concluded. Thamsanqa faces charges of the murder of Bulelwa Kasika.

The MAYIBUYE Civic Movement remains resolute in our call for justice for Bulelwa Kasika. We urge the public to continue saying "Not On My Watch." Together, we can end gender-based violence (GBV).
