Official Statement from Molepo Intergrated Victim Support Team against Gender-Based Violence

At Molepo Intergrated Victim Support Team, we stand firmly and unapologetically against all forms of Gender-Based Violence whether directed at women, men, or children. Violence has no place in love, homes, workplaces, or communities.

We believe in dignity, safety, and respect for all, regardless of gender. Our commitment is to raise awareness, support survivors, and build a culture of accountability, healing, and prevention.

We call on all members of our communities to speak out, take action, and become part of the solution. Silence is not an option.

Together, let us create a society where no one lives in fear and everyone is treated with the humanity they deserve.

We do not tolerate abuse. We do not excuse violence. We choose respect. We choose life.

MIVST was jointly with different stakeholders, TM Foundation, Mankweng VEP, Men's movement against GBV from UL, SAPS, and Dr Tshwane from TUT Research on issues affecting Men in our province and men's sector on mental health awareness coupled with GBV in Mankweng whereby there was a fun walk. father's and Sons engagement on Gender-based Violence and Femicide and encouraging men to look after their mental health in ensuring that they speak up about issues affecting them. And also supporting their boy child by being present father's and supporting their children sports activities.
