Childline Limpopo aims at to protect children in the Limpopo province through offering services in the following programs:
Crisis line (the core department)
• Toll Free helpline: telephonic counseling
• Open 24-Hrs a day, 365 days a year.
• Both children and adults can call to ask for help, information, talk to a caring and experienced telephone counselor about any child or family-related iss
ues. Social Work Services
• Individual therapy to children who have been abused and group therapy.
• Family therapy and group therapy.
• These services are rendered free of charge in each of our Childline offices. Training and Capacity Building (Child abuse prevention)
• Focus is on educational and prevention in Primary and High schools
• workshop for Educators, Parents
• Other professionals, such as the Police, Nurses, Care givers in ECD ect.
• Life skills camps
• Junior Committee (Children from different communities receive training to empower other children and
focus on Community Development in their areas.
• Aims to improve the well-being of families and their vulnerable OVC through comprehensive and coordinated evidence-based interventions that strengthen the capacity of families and communities to care for orphans and vulnerable children, in sub-districts and districts with high HIV prevalence, high maternal mortality, high substance abuse and a high number of orphans and vulnerable children
Community Development Program
• Conduct door to door visit
• Assist on welfare of the children(birth document)
• Conduct family project through house hold strengthening by doing gardens
• Educational support through assisting children with homework
