Meet Ursula - a volunteer at KuCoNa 😃

Hi everyone! My name is Ursula Naidoo. I'm 59 years old
I grew up in the Crags. I am a volunteer at KuCoNa Centre.

I teach knitting and crochet to anyone that is interested.
From young kids to older persons.

To create and teach is my passion!

It's very satisfying to see what you can create with wool and needles! And how eager the young kids are to learn the skill of knitting and crocheting, and then they can teach others!

RAP The Crags Market Day – Community, Connection and Celebration!

What a wonderful day of festivities, laughter and community spirit at the RAP The Crags Market Day!

The day started with a lovely Trompoppies dance by Elderly United group, bringing smiles all around and getting the festivities off to a joyful start.

It was heart-warming to see the community come together, with so many people contributing their time, talents, creativity and delicious homemade treats to make this such a fun and memorable event. From local stalls and handmade goodies to food, music and activities for the children, there was something for everyone to enjoy! A special thank you to Shabby Fufu for donating the jumping castle and Crags in Beweging for their amazing contributions!

A huge thank you to RAP The Crags for hosting such an incredible community event and creating an opportunity for people to connect, support local talent and celebrate everything that makes our community special.

Days like these remind us of the power of people coming together, and creating something wonderful as a community.

When a community comes together, wonderful things happen!

Lookout Beach Clean Up with Knysna Toyota

Today, the Knysna Toyota team joined 20 children from the KuCoNa NatureCredits Club for a beach clean-up at Lookout Beach in Plettenberg Bay.

Walking all the way to the river mouth and back, the team and children discovered that although the beach appeared clean at first glance, a closer look revealed numerous pieces of polystyrene, microplastics and other litter scattered along the shore.

Some of the collected materials will be taken back to the KuCoNa Create & Connect Centre for upcycling, giving suitable waste a second life.

Through the NatureCredits Programme, children earn credits for participating in beach and village clean-ups, encouraging environmental responsibility through practical action.

A heartfelt thank you to Knysna Toyota for supporting this outing and joining our young environmental champions in making a difference!

We are incredibly proud of the children for their commitment to protecting our natural environment, and grateful to the Knysna Toyota team for getting involved and leading by example.

Celebrating our NatureCredit Champions!

At KuCoNa, we are incredibly proud of the children participating in our NatureCredits Programme, who are making a real difference through their commitment to protecting our environment!

Through participating in beach clean-ups and village clean-up activities, the children earn NatureCredits for every clean-up they take part in. These credits recognise their efforts, encourage environmental responsibility and reward them for taking action to keep our communities and natural spaces clean.

On 10 October, Knysna Toyota celebrated and rewarded the children who had earned credits through their dedication to these clean-up activities. The children were congratulated and commended for their efforts to protect our environment and for showing that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.

Knysna Toyota also generously handed over a donation in support of the NatureCredits Programme, helping us continue to encourage children to become active environmental stewards in their communities.

A heartfelt thank you to Knysna Toyota for believing in our children, supporting the NatureCredits Programme and helping us nurture the next generation of environmental champions!

We are so proud of every child who has rolled up their sleeves, picked up litter and taken responsibility for the places they call home. Every clean-up counts, every credit matters, and every child can make a difference!
