Bikes For Africa Empowerment through Motion! Many South Africans have no such memories.

Many of us remember our first bicycle – and if not our first bike, then probably a specific bicycle, scooter or trike – that all-time favourite that became our most prized possession. And it wasn’t specifically the bike – it was the freedom, the fun, the sense of ownership and the exhilaration and pride of having learned to ride it well. Many have never owned a bicycle and, considering the tough s

ocio-economic conditions facing our country, even more are still unlikely to have the opportunity. Having said that – there are thousands of bicycles lying unused in garages, sheds and storerooms across South Africa. Children outgrow and adults upgrade – with a result that pre-loved, or no-longer-needed bicycles can be matched to deserving beneficiaries, if the current owners were shown an easy way to help. Got an old bike/s that you or your kids no longer use - let us get it into deserving hands!
