*Planned Emergency Response Simulation Exercise – Kroonstad N1*

Motorists and community members are advised that a legally required Emergency Response Simulation Exercise will take place on the N1 northbound at the R34 off‑ramp near the Shell Ultra City in KROONSTAD.
The exercise will run from 09:00 to 12:00 today, Thursday 25 June 2026, and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness, improve coordinated response, and enhance public safety.
While every effort is being made to minimise delays, traffic flow will be temporarily affected. Motorists will be guided by traffic officials to exit the N1 via the R34 off‑ramp, cross the R34, and re‑enter the N1 northbound using the R34 on‑ramp.
This multi‑stakeholder simulation is a collaboration between Sasol, DP World, the Road Incident Management System (RIMS), Moqhaka Local Municipality Emergency Services, and other emergency response partners.

Motoriste en lede van die gemeenskap word in kennis gestel dat ’n wetlik vereiste Noodreaksie Simulasie Oefening sal plaas vind op die N1 noordwaarts by die R34 afrit naby die Shell Ultra City in Kroonstad.
Die oefening duur vandag, Donderdag 25 Junie 2026, van 09:00 tot 12:00, en vorm deel van deurlopende pogings om noodbereidheid te versterk, gekoördineerde reaksie te verbeter, en openbare veiligheid te verhoog.
Hoewel elke poging aangewend word om vertragings te minimaliseer, sal verkeersvloei tydelik beïnvloed word. Motoriste sal deur verkeersbeamptes gelei word om die N1 via die R34 afrit te verlaat, die R34 oor te steek, en weer op die N1 noordwaarts aan te sluit deur die R34 oprit te gebruik.
Hierdie multi-belanghebbende simulasie is ’n samewerking tussen Sasol, DP World, die Road Incident Management System (RIMS), Moqhaka Plaaslike Munisipaliteit Nooddienste, en ander noodreaksie vennote.
