🏨 Have your say on the future of the Smithfield 🏨

Harray and Sandwick Community Council is carrying out an initial feasibility study looking at the future of the Smithfield Hotel in Dounby. 🏡

The Smithfield is currently for sale, and no decision has been made about purchase, community ownership or any particular future use. This survey is about understanding what the community thinks before any options are taken further. 💬

📋 We want to hear your views on:

☕ whether facilities such as a café, bar or restaurant are needed;

🏘️ what other community or commercial uses could work;

🛏️ how the accommodation could be used in future, including for visitors, workers or students; and

🤝 whether there is support for exploring the opportunity further.

👥 We’d like to hear from residents, businesses, community groups and people who use or visit the area.

📝 Please take a few minutes to complete the survey:

💚 Your feedback will help shape the feasibility work and any next steps.
